NGSW Program is all about building COPs and FOBs
People are stuck into thinking fire superiority and lots of ammo is the way when America has shown that Suppressive Fire does not work. With the NGSW program America will be able to overmatch all Opfor and be able to defend their bases on enemy territory within a 5 mile radius. Ammunition means nothing because every bullet is accounted for instead of being sprayed towards Opfor's location. COP Keating wouldn't have suffered any losses nor would they have run out of ammo if they all had m14s with 2.5x-10x scopes.
Like do people really think CQB is still a thing in a peer to peer war? America will make any nation kneel in 48 hours.

USMC carries the same rifle weight and the MK18 a fucking 10" AR15 weighs almost the same as a M7
