Wouldn’t it have been strategically smarter for Iran to invest in a larger number of air defense systems and general defense measures to protect its nuclear program? The missiles they have been launching are expensive, yet they barely cause any significant damage. Since their primary objective is to acquire nuclear weapons, it would have made more sense to bolster their defenses rather than projecting power against a sworn enemy located 2,000 km away.
