The reason divorce rates are so disastrously high because people expect the same self-centered pleasure, entertainment and comfort from their marriages, and people do not work that way.

I think the reason Chinese and Korean birth rates are even worse than Western ones is because women in the latter might pop out a consolation baby around 40, when they are forced to realize they are not teenage girls anymore, whilst East Asians fully commit to being wage slaves.
