The whole star wars and marvel girlboss thing makes more sense when you realize Disney is a princess company and most modern countries are representative democracies, so they have to figure out what the modern day version of a princess is. They were spot-on in the 2000s, celebrities are basically princesses. Is a superhero a princess? Apparently not. What about a Jedi? Apparently not. What about Princess Leia? Apparently she's the princess of nothing. What about a middle-manager at a paper company? We're getting somewhere.
