I'm confused about this and information out there doesn't seem to be very helpful. When I arrive in Japan, I'm planning on withdrawing about 400.000 yen, since I have to pay my hotel with cash. However, there seems to be limits on how much you can withdrawal? Does the ATM lock your card and prevent it from withdrawing more? How do anons here usually do it?

Also, is it true I shouldn't use the ATMs in the airport (Narita) and instead wait for a konbini?
