When I played the Tokyo level at the end of my Shadow Generations playthrough, and reflected on the game, and Rouge's comment that Shadow would probably like Classic Sonic, and then went back and suffered through the start of Sonic Generations only to put it down, and thought about Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog again, after I had done all that, God sent me a revelation.

Shadow as he's currently written is much closer to my "ideal conception" of Sonic than Modern Sonic is.

I'm converted. I genuinely like Shadow now. As long as he's like this. He was twenty kinds of insufferable in the Pontaff/Boom days. Now he's the windiest thing we've got.
