that's several years of relevance from 200 to the 2010s. That's several generations who know who they are and they had a lot of succcessful one offs or singles during the late 10s and early 20s. They are still touring and still selling out shows, with some cultural relevance. Veruss the Simpsons who were giants in the 80s and 90s but lost all cultural relevance after season 9 or 10 which would be like 99 or 00.
The last time they mattered was 08 with the movie. Family Guy or even Bob's burgers are more relevant and known now, no kid or teen gives a shit about the simpsons and they don't even get remixed into instagram or tiktok videos like Peter does.
You could sell a couple skins, have a POI have some good emotes, and make some cash, but a while fucking season?
Look at Star Wars, a much more relevant cultural icon along with Marvel, Both of which have more fans and more attention, a season of both nearly sank the game in the current year. Would a fossil like Simpsons really be a good idea at this juncture? Hell fuckin no.
A mini season should be reserved for something way more popular, or at the very least wait until Fortnite gets it's footing back to even try an attempt at this.
