The game is so old now that there are so many new players who simply didn't even have the chance to get those older skins/cosmetics because they weren't playing Fortnite at the time. There's thousands of cosmetics that are locked to a fraction of the playerbase just because they happened to be playing Fortnite in February 2021. Gameplay was fine but the map sucked and so did the shop/pass. The point is, Fortnite lost over 75% of it's playerbase for that season. Thanks for the reference, I googled the pass and didn't notice it in the blog article. That pickaxe is so fucking weird compared to the original, summer dual blades, or even the drift trio pack. The cope that dropped at the beginning of the year was a better Drift set.
