now you have way more moves to chose from, more input complexity, more timings to learn, the little grapple dodge etc and more skills to consider as part of your build, monsters themselves are faster, have more diverse moves, have different kind of attacks beyond turn and charge.

They made it easier to get into, but made it more complex to master, youd think thatd make people happy, MH is less niche + you have a growing skill ceiling for oldfags
but no, they got skill-checked out of the game so theyre mad now.

It was never about wilds being easy, it was about them not wanting to have to get gud and use the mechanics it offeres while being able to bitch about it in the early game.
I guarantee you a, say, MHFU veteran who didnt play nu MH couldnt cope with something like AT Gore or veld. the combat isnt anywhere near as simple as it was in old MH
