It's very mid-tier. I liked the beginning with him finding out the Chad had interest in him (wish fulfillment for women who want Chad to want only them of course) but it became pretty formulaic and basic with the usual tropes i.e. one gets sick, there's a jealousy misunderstanding. The bottom being able to read peoples' minds became a non-factor after the initial premise and it felt like a cheat code for their romance to begin too. 6/10 overall.
I always recommend Old-fashioned Cupcake as a top tier BL. The romance is slow burn, the characters feel like actual people, the women all fawning over the Chad top trope is subverted, as I'm reading it it feels like I'm falling more and more into their world and their lives. It also doesn't have the usual tropes that are in almost every BL. It's very warming and comforting but grounded, as love should be depicted.
