5 million is a lot of fucking people when you can count the number of companies that employ over a million people on probably one hand.
That effectively starves Americans who hold American values out of the economy and forces them to go elsewhere in the US until they get "conquered" by DIE policies.
The indians didn't build the company and only assumed a predefined "role." Without that definition by the Americans who built the company it would cease to operate.
So what you have are a bunch of empty shells that hire roles defined by someone they laid off. What do they do? Hire more, because then it looks like you're at least doing something. Use US money to build open source projects that can be picked up for free in India, China, Europe, etc.
It's all a big grift and always has been. Personally got to experience it at 3 different companies.
