Dougebags refuse to accept that their ship will never be the most popular Shadow ship no matter how hard it's teased.
Shippers like contrast. They like opposites attract. They will ALWAYS choose a character that is openly and obviously optimistic, extroverted, honest, and pure of heart in order to contrast with Shadow's damaged soul and "fix him". Shadamy and Sonadow have next to no basis or teasing but are still more popular anyway.
