Day 69
I entered the heart of the Giant Chasm and confronted Ghetsis, who wasted no time in ordering Kyurem to kill me. Before the legendary could strike, N—the former King of Team Plasma—arrived, riding in to save me with Reshiram at his side. But Ghetsis wasn’t finished. Using the DNA Splicers, he forced Kyurem to merge with Reshiram, creating the fearsome Black Kyurem. I was left with no choice but to battle the fused dragon. With Lucario’s strength and determination, I managed to bring it down, freeing Reshiram from Ghetsis’ control.
There was no turning back. I challenged Ghetsis, determined to end things once and for all. Zoroark opened strong, taking out Cofagrigus with a single Foul Play. Excadrill obliterated Drapion in one Earthquake, while Serperior sliced through Seismitoad with a single Leaf Blade. Ghetsis’ Eelektross was tricky—Excadrill hit it with Rock Tomb, but a powerful Flamethrower nearly knocked it out, forcing me to swap to Zoroark, who finished it with a flurry of Night Slashes. Excadrill returned to the field to bury Toxicroak with Dig, surviving only thanks to some timely healing. Finally, Lucario faced Hydreigon head-on, landing two clean Aura Spheres and dodging every attack the dragon threw at him.
When it was over, Ghetsis snapped, screaming in a full-blown breakdown before the Shadow Triad dragged him away. N thanked me for everything, and with Team Plasma shattered, their ship fled Unova’s skies. With that threat gone for good, I turned my sights to the Pokémon League once again, catching a Rufflet along the way.
