There was classic-era art of Tails and Amy with guitars, and another of Tails playing the piano. So did Knuckles in the Sonic Boom show as a joke. I don't know anything about Tails and the Music Maker.
Classic art had Eggman on drums.
Sonic Symphony key art had Sonic as conductor, Amy on violin, Tails with flute and Knuckles doing drums.
Sonic Underground had Sonic with an electric guitar.
