That's depressing.
I didn't like all the modbeast nonsense but I liked modifying outfits, and wearing the cute outfits people made for the game. Upscaling the textures, and letting people see the changes. I was around before mare, and for the average user it's a huge improvement in the experience, even if some people take it way too far.
