Elric is stupid. Moarcocks admitted it was stupid. It's basically "Elric stumbles into a Demon Ruin for the 18th time this month, and using his sword of PURE KICKASS, destroys the mutants, and the cannibals, of the city of ruins with demons". Chapter 48.

MoarCOCKS had a very big influence on D&D and subsequently an entire 30 years of fantasy and geekdom. But no one can say MoarCOCKS ever wrote a good book in his entire life, or a good chapter.
