And I can indeed state /a/ is dead because I have had my homepage set to it for roughly a decade. I always filter out threads I don't like or think are low quality, which includes the eternal generals and dailies now, and every year the number of threads that reach my minimal bar of quality (which is astoundingly low, it's just "Don't be retarded, don't be inane 'Why doesn't naruto do x when his power level so high??', don't be a general/daily") drops.
Ever since the hack, I have been lucky to leave more than ten threads unfiltered, typically it's in the realm of 7-8 threads. Not helping matters is that the general mindset cultivated has resulted in the biggest issues with generals- insufferable losers who treat the designated thread as sacred ground and get mad when jannys do anything to them.
So, every other day /a/ will get about ten or so spam threads that get deleted, but then push all non-general threads off into the abyss of page ten (and then archival). Utter shitshow of a board.

Nobody ever believes me when I say this, but no /a/ posters that didn't leave to 8ch in 2015 is still on imageboards. A lot of /a/ posters were already descended from forums, skype groups, and blogs. You want to know where they went after /a/?
>Twitter
This is more /m/ poster territory. I've never seen a genuine /a/ poster appear on here, but so many /m/fags are on here. That's why you'll find a lot of twitter drama if you stay on /m/ long enough.
>Discord
I have never seen so many 4chan filenames, recycled 3x3s, and specific posting styles outside of 4chan until I joined a few niche anime discord servers. And it makes sense, most /a/ posters used the board for casual shoot the shit discussion, which was the point of skype, which was the point of forums, which is now the point of discord.
>Alts
Again, the only ones on altchans are people who left for 8ch specifically. People using smug and PLW are from that exodus.
8moe houses people from the hack (nobody used moe/a/ until the hack happened, I was there).

Probably some other places, but these are the ones with the "highest concentration" I've seen.
