And I can indeed state /a/ is dead because I have had my homepage set to it for roughly a decade. I always filter out threads I don't like or think are low quality, which includes the eternal generals and dailies now, and every year the number of threads that reach my minimal bar of quality (which is astoundingly low, it's just "Don't be retarded, don't be inane 'Why doesn't naruto do x when his power level so high??', don't be a general/daily") drops.
Ever since the hack, I have been lucky to leave more than ten threads unfiltered, typically it's in the realm of 7-8 threads. Not helping matters is that the general mindset cultivated has resulted in the biggest issues with generals- insufferable losers who treat the designated thread as sacred ground and get mad when jannys do anything to them.
So, every other day /a/ will get about ten or so spam threads that get deleted, but then push all non-general threads off into the abyss of page ten (and then archival). Utter shitshow of a board.
