The main point of hype behind DD2 was that the first game had to be cut down in order to be completed/shipped out and that DD2 would be a chance for Itsuno and his team to implement the things they had to remove/give up on, but turns out that for every thing they added in they took something out of existing systems so DD2 was actually a lesser game than the first when it was supposed to be the "true" Dragon's Dogma.
