I'm sure there's some good gems out there but it all sounds like glorified elevator muzak to me whenever I've heard it. And this isn't 'abloo bloo bloo black people music' because aside of the thematic dissonance I'd be fine with hood nigga hip hop because at least that amps you up rather than makes you want to sleep.
