I honestly can't remember what I was like as a person before getting into anime, outside of being an insufferable and annoying teenager. It contributed to be feeling more isolated and detached from the real world due to no one I knew or know being into anime, but I think that was going to be the case regardless. Anime at least gave me something to look forward to and indulge in.
