This is getting off subject, but those who claim to be Jews today have no real connection to anything that existed in the First Century AD. Modern Judaism is based on gnostic heresies, and you can see that influence in the Babylonian Talmud, which was written in the 3rd to 5th century AD. Again off topic. But there were always Christians who, historically and today, opposed swordpoint conversion. And these were the ones who were instrumental in establishing religious liberty in America. See Roger Williams and John Clarke for example. Pic related, as reformation-era writers recognized this.
