From the proto punk of Iggy Pop cutting himself with glass and singing about heroin, to the NY Dolls larping as trannies just to make people mad,and to Ramones singing about sniffing glue, TSOL singing about fucking corpses, and the Sex Pistols as an entirety

Once you get to hardcore in the 80s, sure, you have a bunch of proto sjws who dont do drugs and think old black guys are God, but it didn't start that way, nor is that even the public image of punk which is all still spikey hair, skulls, and anarchy symbols
