The trick, of course, is that a slow burn needs something else to animate its frame: usually some kind of actual plot or world-building happening in addition to characters sorting out their attraction and handling day-to-day chores. Webcomics are particularly unsuited for the premise if they don't have a real storyline because of their tendency to meander and fixate on drama that doesn't advance anything.
