Completed the 10 Gaunlet qualifications weekly tonight. Took me about 5 games, of which my squad won 2.
Worst round:
>level 1 on my squad, turns out to be a Russian woman trying to speak in voice chat, quits after the first mission
>the game then spawns my squad in the middle of two others with no decryption beacons anywhere in sight
>we get gangraped for 5 minutes straight
Best round: the one that had "Heist", a 2-flag CtF mode with a suitcase instead of a flag, as the final mission. Capped it twice myself and the team defended ours once.
Gauntlet is a direct improvement over the dogshit trash that SQDM is. I thought I hated Extraction from the 2-3 gauntlet matches I've played before, but it's actually kind of fun. Heist was great, love me some capture the flag.
I'm not too fond of some of the missions though, the matchmaking seems insistent on putting low-level noobs in your squad, and it's a crapshoot as to whether you'll get a competent teammate or get placed against some sweaty ultrafaggot and his discord call.
I've served my time dice, now stop with the BR weeklies
time to grind my 20 kills in aircraft mission
>join Manhattan conquest to be a heli gunner
>get 6 kills in the first game over 3 kamikaze pilots and a single decent one, but me and him got shot out of the sky by a single rpg
I now understand the jetfag's plight
>next round: get raped by the enemy chopper while we take off
>next round: get raped by the enemy chopper while we take off
>next round: friendly pilot hangs in 25th place the whole game and refuses to die, never make it to the chopper
>next round: nobody pilots, enemy chopper blows up our empty helo at spawn
>next round: join, 60 tickets left on our side, there's two enemy helicopters somehow
>next round: spawn at start, make it to the chopper
>pilot starts demanding I get out so he can "play with a friend"
>tell him I need 14 kills and then I'm out, he starts flying, I get my kills and assists in 3 minutes, thank him and leave the chopper
Trying to be a gunner for randos was... kinda fun, in a gambling sort of way.
