oh i absolutely know. it's a very fine line, but there is a line where i find somebody territorial or slightly possessive deeply endearing. but the moment that goes from a confident "you are mine and i am yours" to a jealousy or fearful thing, it's ugly and putrid.

it's less about wanting x amount of interest and more about... straightforwardness? i've always liked to make it clear when i'm interested in someone (whether it's romantic or otherwise) and it's nice for that to be reciprocated, is all. i don't really need people to come on strong or anything, but just, you know, give it back a bit.

everyone speaks a different language as far as how they communicate though, and it's good to never lose sight of that fact.
