Has anyone else noticed that guys like John Candy don't really exist anymore?

Soulful, funny, fat but not disgusting looking, not an edgelord or a bitter incel, family oriented. This was a type of white man who made for a terrific best friend, brother, uncle etc.

It feels like this type of person went extinct 10-15 years ago. But why?
