That last part is the most damning part. The Watcher isnt the protagonist of Deadfire, Eothas is. The Watcher is just there as a vehicle to witness the story, unlike in PoE1 where they are the actual protagonist with agency in the story.

Josh even defended this dogshit narrative decision. Well as it turned out Campbell really did know better than Josh and Deadfire would have sold more if the Watcher had gone full Kratos or jrpg protag
