It's easily the best episode of D I've seen.

The entire part where Mirei shows her development after OD, Yuyu talking to Megumi/Mirei about his frustrations as a leader after losing to Raika, Yuyu creating his new deck and playing with himself.

Zakuza past, his obsession with winning, and his frustration after losing to Yuyu.
Yuyu finding his new ideals in the duel against zakuza.

All of this plus a duel in which Yuyu wins because he knows what cards Zakuza has left in his hand and plays based on that.

I don't believe the writer of this episode is the same as the one in Od
Also Caution as a finisher song is better than He Said.
