lizardmen "demon princes"
but I don't mean actual demons, I'll explain:
ever since the dread saurian was a thing, I've seen this proxy for it, I didn't like it, it's not a big dinosaur, not even a sort of aztec godzilla, it's just a giant lizardman, it's weird, it didn't fit the description, it didn't fit any description lizardmen had for anything, and later I started seeing more and more examples of third party sculptors making various giant lizardmen, often making them, say, humanoid triceratops, or humanoid pterosaurs, or humanoid trex, etc, you get the idea, many had aztec garbs and were quite beautifully detailed minis, but I never liked them, both as big things and as normal sized sauri and kroxigors proxies.

but then why didn't lizardmen have a strain of "giants", like it has little dudes, medium sized dudes and monstrous infantry sized dudes? or strains of triceratops-men or sauropod-men or pterosaur-men etc? in-setting there's no answer, despite there being theoretically a LOT of spawnings of various kinds of lizardmen that look very differently.
meta-wise there are many answers, such as that it's better for the army to have big dinosaurs instead of big dinosaurmen, or that it would start overshadowing the saurus general heroes, or that when you start mixing the look of the dinos and the look of the lizardmen you start muddling the waters over whether the dinos are dinos or just less humanoid lizardmen spawning, aside from the fact that including too many looks for the skinks, sauri and kroxigors is unfeasible for what's an already relatively niche range for the priorities of the setting, and less iconic, for a company that certainly value recognisability.
