Buoyancy depends on a reference acceleration term. If you remove g, you have buoyancy defined in terms of itself—an infinite regress.
So what replaces g in your equation, with correct units (m/s2) and a numeric value near 9.81 at sea level? Otherwise, your ‘explanation’ is just a tautology.
