This "twist" hasn't been new for at least 20 years. It's been done to death by far superior writers, but I guess Christians/Heaven/God are all safe targets to hate for leftists and it doesn't matter if the audience is bored or tired of it if they can get just one more hit in. The ideological purity spiral these morons are in mean they've murdered off all of their creativity and it makes all their shit bland, tasteless, stale and out of touch (because God forbid trying to understand people or the human condition; they'd rather make shit you gotta be chronically online to understand).

I do find it strange that Al is her exception when it comes to leftist empathy. Especially since the redesign makes him one of their sacred cows instead of a caricature of "white power patriarchy" she can "safely" vent her frustrations at the world at (if anything Adam fits that bill better, no?).
