i kinda like the idea of speed/skillmaxing conceptually, but both sort of run into this cliff of returns problem. more strength will always be useful even if you are beyond the threshold of killing what you need to kill because it will increase your other options or allow you to use less powerful weapons for the same result. after you get to the doubling threshold though, speed loses its utility because all you are gaining is 1-2 avoid depending on the game. one support can make up like 3 speed levels worth of avoid. besides really dangerously fast enemies, myrms/speedmaxers don't really have a use for overkill speed.
skill is in the same boat, there are massive diminishing returns after about 80 hit in 2rn calculations.
I still use memedons pretty often because I enjoy the gambling of higher crit rates and avoid rates, but i understand they are suboptimal for attacking and tanking purposes due to their typical stat spreads.
