Unironically, in the USA there are old ties between Catholics and Jews because of their immigrant roots. In neighborhoods like the Five Points they shared ideas, eg Irish getting really into corned beef from Kosher butchers or Lucky Luciano working Jews into his mob syndicate. We also share a lot of guilt-based culture and try to help our kids get a leg up(eg compared to Protestant families where everyone secretly hates each other and kids are thrown out of the house when they turn 18).
