Much of my art roadblocks have come from me trying to do draw the "right" way only to learn everyone from the beginning of time used tools. I actually felt like I was having a breakdown when I learned classical painters basically used photoshop layers to give monotone paintings color instead of somehow being savants like I assumed they were.
With this too! I've always been curious how animators drew cartoons and movies and had such clean lines. I refused to use digital rulers while drawing because that's not something artists would have had, but they did and I'm just a fucking idiot! I'm purposely holding myself back through ignorance!
