If this thing comes from the wow! signal source(I guess the closest possible source is about 1k lightyears) at the speed of 0.000268c, then it started to travel to us when humans were not there in any noticeable way. They'd be trvelling for nearly 3.36 million years.
They'll be in for a surprise once don't see a mostly wildlife planet filled with now murderapes already planning to blow up the galaxy.

It was picked up in 1974 and came from the direction of the saggitarius constellation. It was most likely not of artifical origin and behaved like yo would hail something in a specific direction on an open channel. It is not clear if this signal is legit or just an instrument error, but if the schizos are correct, it was an attempt by the owners of the object to check if someone lives on Earth.
