>I'm not talking about physical strength. I'm talking about plot. We're certainly not talking about unit strength, since it's a comparison to Alfonse.
Alfonse is a guy who both can't win plot fights 1v1 but also doesn't have plans that work. Having him around is often an active detriment to the plot. He gets multiple people killed, but also never really makes up for it in any way. And because Kiran can never speak, all of these plans come from Alfonse himself.
Chrom is the lead for most of Awakening. He sometimes asks Robin for advice on like the boat and volcano things in Valm, but otherwise it's Chrom leading the plot and the charge. And he both takes Plegia and defeats Walhart. That's two more victories than Alfonse ever had.

>No, they make the decisions in their routes. They just also go "Is that okay with you, professor?"
>Stuff like Dimitri marching on Grondor was Dimitri's decision, not Byleth's.

Now contrast that with Heroes. When does Kiran get to make ANY decisions? Even his decision to take Seidr's offer is still debated.
Alfonse makes all of the decisions in Heroes. He has full agency, he just sucks. Now contrast that with Heroes. When does Kiran get to make ANY decisions? Even his decision to take Seidr's offer is still debated.

> >Dude was just there, Awakening doesn't depict him as someone Strong.
>Chrom is the lord for almost the entire game, with only the last like five chapters revolving around Robin.
