The discord was on its last legs, as were the /jp/ threads, before Elin showed up. Elona is super old. Recruiting people to it became next to impossible. We did our best to preserve it, but it's not like the shift was intentional. Changing the server owner was a calculated move to help put a tiny bit of life in a corpse the original owner had become unreachable. a change was needed anyway.. Put in place an owner who both still cared and wouldn't try to twist the discord to their own vision of things.

What we didn't know is Elin would exist soon after this change. Nor did anyone expect Elin would explode in mass so violently. We're just managing the fallout now. The preexisting server 'staff' are users who loved Elona from long ago, and most of them don't seem to play Elin at all either.
