>To be fair, no one in the Cider episode explicitly admits "we should have listened to AJ more" either.
That was my original point, pretty much nobody does in most of these.
>No she wasn't, that was Applejack.
No, it was Dash.
>They're still helping AJ in the contest of their own volition,
Again, so does... well, everyone? Just to use another example you had, nobody stops or opposes Pinkie Pie in Swarm, they just dismiss her. They're wrong for not listening to her like Applejack's family didn't listen to her, but nobody says "No Pinkie Pie don't do that thing you're doing".
>I'm not really sure what you're basing this o
The physical pushing scene and telling her to just fly. scene.
>pretty much all her lines are bitching about Fluttershy's presence,
...eh? I had to doublecheck, but aside from one or two scenes where she just makes a groaning noise, literally two lines about her complaining and one of them was very mild.
>Are you sure you want to bring her along? I mean, that pony's afraid of her own shadow.
And
>Still think it was a good idea to bring Fluttershy along?
That's... it. Everything else has her helping continue on like with the avalanche.

>And besides, my greater overall point in that comparison was about how much more antagonistic RD is in Dragonshy compared to Super Speedy
I guess but then don't we also lose the comparisons in, say Swarm of the Century, Sonic Rainboom You can't argue that Rarity was that bad. Or what about Suited for Success? Nobody was mean about it, not even Fluttershy and her whole thing was nitpicking. Dragonshy is the biggest example and nobody else got it that bad. What about stuff like Feeling Pinkie Keen?

The show just didn't have big antagonistic forces when they were in the right is what I'm saying.
