Man you anti egoists are kind of a pain, unless I'm misunderstand, but the Ego is the shape of your Soul, it manifests in all kinds of ways. Confronting your Ego doesn't mean destroying it, it means figuring out what you do and don't like about yourself and maybe even recognizing that some of the things you don't like may serve a higher function both in keeping yourself safe and giving you the ability to help others around you.
