Mainline Zelda games always win shit tons of awards, and the latest Zelda is always the best Zelda ever along side Ocarina of time.
But anyone defending Breath of the Weapon Breaking and Tears of Weapons Breaking More are legit retarded, there is a lot of good, best Zelda overworlds, but worse Zelda gameplay because everything fucking breaks so finding something cool is fucking pointless because you can only swing them 3-4 times before they break.
In past 3D Zelda games when I open a chest and it starts playing the important item jingle, I feel hyped, in BOTW/TOTK when I find an actual item in a chest instead of rupees I feel ripped off because im never going to use it, I am incentivized to avoid combat entirely, and I will eventually throw that item away when I inevitably find something better due to the retarded hidden scaling system.
