While I sided with the Abbot that the church was putting too much emphasis on the Priest. I have no doubt that not a single exorcist aside from him could fight a demon lord so their current stability is merely due to fighting substantially weaker targets by comparison.

Sister Rose was the last "once in a generation genius" and she died herself. With Dante gone I don't know who else but the Priest could step up.
