I think the inclusion of a map with the cartridge version but not the disk version has less to do with the versions having different target audiences and more to do with the fact that the packaging for FDS games is about the size of a post-it note. There's no way a full ass foldable map is going to fit in there.

I am aware that most people don't play single genres. What I meant to suggest is that RPGs being more popular in Japan does not mean that shmups are going to suddenly be easier. That's what >>11943801 is implying.
