Are you confusing "In the Mouth of Madness" (a 1994 movie about a book of the same name) with "At the Mountains of Madness" (a 1930s book about an expedition to Antarctica)? The former was quintessential 2.6 material, not 2.8, and the latter is what people have been mentioning. It's a great movie and everyone should watch it, but it has very little to do with Chapter 10.
