Normally no president would ever agree to any of this but loosing the protection of the galactic federation will doom us all so they all secretly agreed. everything that is going to happen regarding war is scripted. the Taiwan invasion is scripted as well as what happened recently with the USA using bunker busters on Iran. All a scripted play agreed upon by both sides. Those solders think they are fighting for their country, all they are doing is dying to push the script.

I can only assume they will use modern tech. Drones in the sky with good cameras and spy balloons. Basically everything they are using in Ukraine as far as eyes in the sky goes. The man made alien looking craft will most likely have amazing cameras that can see everything from the sky and just blast us like they do in those generic alien movies.
