I'm about the same level of progression: we're definitely making things worse, but so far it isn't 'too' bad.
Conductors can't just go wherever they want: they're naturalized in Flathill South Dakota because there's a geo-magnetic abnormality already there (it's why they could set up the portal in the first place) that replicates similar conditions from their home dimension and they also need that mist to completely saturate the area. When you use the Flathill portal a bunch of that mist gets in and it allows some of them to wander into the facility; you can just vent the mist out into the Australian outback and 'suffocate' them tho. This sound like a cunt move, but it's so fucking hot and arid that there's no hope for their survival out there.
The Exor are probably way, way, worse. Their native dimension has an extremely slow rate of entropy and I'm getting the feeling it must take hundreds, maybe even thousands, of years for them to naturally complete their lifecycle, but in our own high-energy state dimension they can complete it in fucking months. There's just a bunch of stupid, dipshit, Exor running around with the bodies of adults and the minds of children.
tldr; It's bad, but it has rules. I've been playing 100% solo and enthralling myself in the lore. Good game.
