I've got some nerve damage that gives me shaky hands. I've seen plenty of ways to mitigate it for the sake of painting, but I have to ask about drilling barrels. Is there a good way to center the dot so I don't accidentally carve straight through a barrel? My old method is to take an xacto, get it as dead center as possible, mark a tiny divot into the tip, then make a perpendicular divot, and go after it with vises going from smallest to largest. Then finish by sanding the divots away. Is this still the best method or is there something I don't know?
