But really, every other part of the install guide has been pretty good. This one (important) piece is just poorly explained for some reason. Even stranger is that the install guide says it's written with the assumption that the reader knows nothing about the Linux kernel or Debian installation, yet the documentation on selecting image media presupposes both. But don't worry, after I install I'll contribute actually good descriptions.
