>To create trauma for Jewel and especially Lanolin, after being mean to Silver the audience demands torture porn. She will be blind to the reality that it's all fine and treat herself like absolute dogshit for "ruining" it regardless.
Ah, so now the*entire arc boils down to milking trauma for Jewel and Lanolin? That’s the justification for dismantling the Restoration’s HQ and undermining 77 issues of world-building? Trauma for its own sake isn’t compelling storytelling, it's lazy. If the only consequence of this massive upheaval is a couple of characters spiraling into guilt over something that clearly doesn't matter long-term, then that’s a failure of narrative stakes. If this is Flynn’s idea of emotional depth, it’s skin-deep at best. Trauma without meaningful payoff is just cheap drama, and it’s insulting to the readers' intelligence to think they'd fall for this crap.
>This is fucking beyond based and you know it. Tails could never support Sonic in such a devoted manner as to create the world he wants and you're simply jealous of this fact.
Jealous? Of Kit? A character so one-dimensional that his sole defining trait is obsessive servitude? Meanwhile, Tails gets reduced to a background character who exists purely to prop up Flynn’s pet OCs. Kit bombing a town to "support" Surge isn’t admirable, it’s idiotic. It’s the kind of contrived, edge-for-the-sake-of-edge nonsense that belongs in a bad fanfic, not an official Sonic comic.
If you think Surge and Kit are "based" because they’re chaotic and edgy, fine. But don’t pretend that this is good storytelling or that it justifies sidelining the core cast and making them act OOC to accommodate Flynn’s self-indulgent writing. The fact that Amy and Blaze just shrug off their actions proves that Flynn has no interest in holding these characters accountable or creating a meaningful conflict. It’s all just a shallow attempt to make his OCs look "cool" at the expense of everything.
