Gaming performance isn't much different between 7600/X & 9600/X. Ryzen 9000 runs AVX-512 instructions faster (relevant for some game emulations).

You mean B850? You don't need to switch the motherboard if you're comfortable with using the CPU-less BIOS flash feature of the motherboard.
Both AMD & Intel DDR5 PC builders should be updating the BIOS to the latest stable version, there were some CPU microcode updates with memory compatibility improvements & safer voltage limits.
