I still can't quite figure out whether the glowies are genuinely retarded, which would be seriously concerning, or whether they just act that way because they think we're the ones that are retarded.

I was going to say "Not really, only like 2000 of them in the entire continent".
But then I decided to look up the population of brown bears in the US. Exclude the forsaken hellhole known as Alaska and it's about the same or even less than in Europe.
